The left side downshift paddle does not work properly. A little while ago, it would do this for every 10-15 downshifts. I had to pull it from the top side of the paddle and it would work.

Now it hardly works. I tried pulling it at different angles, and different areas of the paddle and still nothing.

I was showing my friend how it wasnt working, and all of sudden it decided to work and i was in 2nd gear on the highway doin 80.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

I know if i take it to the dealer, they are probably going to tell me to change the whole unit as the car does not have warranty anymore.

Please Help

P.S. The center console shifter works, but i hate using it.

physically broken. There was a very slight barely perceptable extra wiggle in it but nothing obvious. Others have had the microswitch replaced. If not covered it should not be too much.

I noticed, it is like once in a while, but I guess it will
get worse in time. Have Dealer replace the paddle sensor.
