CB/Cinn, SMG, NAV, Canadian car

It has 67 kilometers on it (had 21 when I picked it up).

Other than the 'trim issue'(which the dealer will be fixing and we'll split 50/50), the car is perfect. Feels very tight. SMG will take some getting used to - I initially have that 'disconnected' feeling but think that I could get used to it (I hope!). By the end of my short drive , I was feeling like I was getting to know better what was going on inside the gearbox.

Hate not being able to wind her up to 7500+, but must respect the break-in period... she just seems to want to really rev, though...

Oh yeah, can't get my darn Blackberry 7280 to recognize the BMW bluetooth (or vice versa?). My friend's Motorolla Razor hooked up to my car in a minute. Any ideas?

More thoughts later...

Some have mentioned that they can't get their phone books uploaded to the car, but got their BBs working, nonetheless...

I'm confused. Are you saying you just bought a new car, and it has a trim problem, and you have to pay to fix it? Shouldn't the dealer and warranty just take care of this? Are things different in Canada? (OK, don't answer that :-)

Stop scaring me. I am waiting to pick up my new M3, and I was hoping this trim problem would be fixed by now.

will be replaced with brushed aluminum in a few weeks.

of the trim. There is nothing wrong with it - it just is not what he wanted.

if theyre splitting the cost with u, u essentially are paying for the brush aluminum....and with the price off the car, have already paid for the cubed trim--technically u own both....

in retrospect, I should have kept written notes of our conversations as it turned in to his word against mine, so we're sharing the pain. I guess I could have walked away, but decided to deal with it...

Bottom line, dealers/salesguys are just that - dealers/salesguys. Don't give them any more credit than that.

the cubed trim is only on the dash - it's the regular titanium shadow everywhere esle (center console, 4 armrests) - so, not a complete set...

will keep it anyway...

e46...man, dealers are such idiots...but truth is, its really the unknowing consumer that makes dealers that way. U know for every one of us theres like 10 people who would have bought the dealers story

I see the other post about this issue now. I thought you were talking about the "falling trim" issue". It seemed odd that a brand new car would have its trim falling off.

Thanks,

Kurt

This is one of the stupidest policies. What are they afraid of?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but just wondering if Bluetooth is standard or an option and when was it first available on the M3?

TIA
