I am a new owner of a '99 528i. It runs flawlessly with 97k miles on it. (It came with a 3 year unlimited mileage "bumper to bumper" warranty). Anyways, my question has to do with the temperature gauge on the dash. When I start the car up in the morning it only takes about 2 minutes for the gauge to reach what I would call the normal operating engine temperature which is the needle pointing straight up and down on the dash. Is this normal? I mean it's great it gets there that quickly but I can't help but wonder if the sensor or gauge is reading correctly. Any comments welcomed.
