Hi. I also have 1998 528se. It had quad exhausts when I bought it. Work done was by Longlife Exhausts in Cardiff but I think they are a national company. I had to go there to transfer lifetime warranty (25) and had a chat with the bloke that created the system. Apparently people had said it wasn't possible but he did a good job. I think the cost was in the region of 750. The system splits below rear seats and has two twin pipe rear boxes. Looks good and you can choose tail pipe style and tone (he thought mine was 'deep mid sports'?? or something similar). Mine sounds good although it does resonate a bit at about 2,000rpm.
