Enjoyed the torque of the motor, but the way the tranny was set up made me immediately yearn for my SMG-II. The Chevy doesn't come close to the precision or shift execution speed of the BMW, particularly when executing a down-shift. I also felt a little "ham-fisted" with regard to the paddles - there is a button on the front (either side) for up-shifts and a paddle (both sides) for down shifts. I found myself unconsciously trying to pull the R paddle to upshift (without thinking). Fortunately, the computer won't let you make the "money shift"...

Perhaps GM can take a page out of Audi's book and emulate the DSG - now THERE is a great sequential tranny!

It is a 6 speed automatic transmission and they didn't say it was a sequential tranny. I'm just glad the Z06 isn't a computer with wheels.
