Hello,

How are you guys doing? I am in need of some guidance on where to find some replacement parts for my Recaros. I purchased a set of near mint E21 Recaro's for my 1973 Camaro Z/28. I have already found the levers for lifting the seat back for access to the back seats. I desperately need to get a hold of the knobs on the side for setting the tilt of the seat. Are these still available from the dealer?

Thanks in advance for all of the help,
Regards,
Nick

From your picture it appears you need the upper trim pieces that surround the backrest adjustment knobs, the sprockets (the passenger side appears to be missing some teeth)that the backrest adjustment knobs snap onto, and of course as you mentioned the backrest adjustment knobs. Your seats take the style of knobs that have a BMW roundel cast into them and are pentagonal in shape. There were some that had the Recaro name cast into them but are extremely hard to find. I can't tell if you need the inner trim pieces that cover the hinge or not (they are shaped like a boomerang).
I have all of the pieces you need if you can't find them at the BMW dealer.
