thinking about purchasing a 190SL, but wanted to see if there are any hidden, or unknowns I should look out for when looking at this vehicle.

I know about rust, frame damage and typical mechanicals, but any special personalities of this vehicle would be beneficial..

Thanks in advance,
Brian

RUST
..........RUST

.....................RUST , says it all.
and then there is the worn out duel carbs, suspension mounts, kinkpins,
worn/leaking rear diff (very expensive to overhaul !)
electrical system,
interior,
body water leaks,
soft top and weather seal condition.

Even on a good day - a 190SL is a very poor performer compared
to SAME PERIOD PORSCHE, MG, or many other 'sports cars' .

IT IS not A 300SL.

Your better off spending your money on the next generation of SL's,
230, 250, 280SL.

Happy Hunting
