Yesterday I finally took delivery of my E320 CDI, it was shipped all the way from Indiana to Cali. First things first, the car has 85k miles on it, looks like it's been taken care of but I do not have any prior maintenance records.
As far as I know car has no issiues so far.
Display indicates that service "C" is 3000 miles overdue, so I guess it's time to service atleast the engine oil and filters. I am pretty mechanically savy just need couple of pointers on the procedure.
BTW I hate steallers they try to spend the least possible amount of time with the customer and score the most $$$. At least in my experience.
From reading the archives I understand that Elf 0-30 is the oil of choice for many on this board. Anyone has a good write up on the oil change procedure?

Hi, I just changed the oil on my E320 cdi '04
I went to independent garage and they used Mobile1 on my car.
I always thought you had to use different type of oil on Diesel cars
than Bensin (gas) but they said this was the best oil.

I changed the oild myself, it's very easy, just need to remove the lower plastic cover. I used Elf european motor oil, got it in 5L q. from along with the air and oil filters.
