: my friend has an 82 733i and he accidently put brake fluid into his coolant resevoir...he asked me what happens and i don't know..can anyone answer this?..thanks alot

Depends on how much was added to the coolant. In any case the best option is to drain all the coolant, flush the system and then add new coolant to the system. If there was enough brake fluid added it will cause foaming and then solids will form in the system which can lead to caking and plugging. This would then lead to overheating and termination of the engine.
