I was trying to get an emission test in Connecticut and a fault code for evaporative emission leak came up. I replaced the gas cap and had the computer reset. I went back for another test, but it said that there were too many readiness (OBD) monitors not ready. After driving another 2500 miles the same issue exists. Any ideas???

I have a close problem, after changing my battery. Drove about 140 miles highway local roads etc… Same thing. Then had my mechanic clearing all codes with some PC software that read my codes while connecting to a diagnostic port. What’s interesting when he connected using OBD II port it read no codes. I will try to drive another 140-250miles before going to a F@#$N dealer to over charge me for a 10 minute job.
I strongly believe it is something that only a dealer can do with an in house Computer.
Good luck.
