while some moved onto different makes and others await the new generation, there was still only one offering that held the aesthetics and performance for every day use.

the missus picked the color, and although i had seen imola red many times before, now i appreciate what a truly gorgeous color it is. we found a very well maintained late model with low mileage on it. the PY can now become a project car and the IR will serve as daily use.

The E46 M3 design, while now about 8 years old, still looks as sharp now as it did in late 2000 when I was drooling over one. I've gone from an E46 M3 to an E39 M5, back to my current '04 M3 Coupe. I still smile every time I drive it.
