Thinking of flipping from Por. Turbo to 06 or 07 430 but have heard some horror stories about time between services and the cost thereof. I suspect some of these people don't know what they are talking about. Can anyone give me the real scoop.
Thanks

i have owned 3 911's (all cabs). was about to buy an 08 turbo cab 911. instead i got an 06 430 spider. IT IS AMAZING. WOULD NOT GO BACK! only problem: cannot dirve the car and park it at the mall: too many lookers! only take it for rides or dinner where i can park it and "watch it".

Porsche's are expensive to maintain. Ferrari's much more so. As a rough order of magnitude, figure a given service will be twice the cost.

I had a vintage 330GTC. Magnificent machine, but the cost of ownership was astronomical. I suggest you follow the link, read the articles and make your own determination on whether you're willing to make the commitment. These are incredible cars. They don't come cheap.

Hard to draw any comparisons to a 430, and the owner(s) in this case even had the dealership do the oil changes which drove up the per-mile costs. At any rate, Ferrari ownership is not for the folks who balance their checkbooks each month.

Interesting link, though, and worth a read. Gordon Jones
