I was at Lake Louise today after the first real snowfall. Ice under snow at the parking lot proved too much for the stock all season tires.

Anyone planning to drive in real Canadian winter had better plan on using four fully winter tires.

The DSC works great in both modes. The TRAC mode is especially good on ice and snow. The "winter" setting for the transmission works very well.

The tires are still hopeless under braking on ice and snow. The ABS pumps aggressively and you still don't stop well enough in my opinion.

Four Pirelli Sottozeros are likely to be on my XF by next weekend.
