I finally tested and I got heat. It is only coming for the windshield. But when I shift lever for the mid-section, I get cold. The lower section has a very small partial heat only. I swear, I never touch anything inside the console or even have opened up the console. But what is causing the heat & cold? Any help would do.Boots

What do you mean you finally tested. Did you do some maintenance?

maybe there would be heat. Heat came up from the top of console for the winshield. Cold air on middle, and a very few heat for the feet. Even tho the turn temp all to high heat and the center temp control on side of vent. A/C works fine.

Have you tried setting the thumbwheel between the vents all the way to the red?

If that's not working, the thumbwheel's contacts have a habit of getting dirty and it may not be putting out proper resistance.

thumbwheel vents? Does the console need to be removed?

It's not too bad. I've done it by just removing the radio / OBC / temperature controllers, and the vent on the top of the dash. There are four push tabs that you have to hastle with in order to pull the vents out.

I recall a walkthrough with images somewhere on the net, but I can't find it.

something. Vents on top is really a hassle since windshield is on the way...Thanks.
