'09 XF, driven one year and 11000 miles with no significant problems, display or otherwise. Yesterday, after parking the car for about 10 minutes, the display screen froze on the "Jaguar" logo. No touch sensitivy, no home page, no screensaver (no audio, park warning, etc.) The HVAC appeared to respond to the manual controls, and the car drove normally otherwise. Turning ignition on/off and opening/closing the door had no effect. Stayed frozen for the 10 miles/30 minutes to the Jaguar dealer, and another 5 minutes while the service advisor checked it in. The car was turned off for about 15 minutes; when the mechanic got to it and turned it on, everything was normal. He checked for codes and played with it for an hour, but couldn't get it to act up again.
Anyone know of a cause for this problem?[Oops!]

It's been almost 2 weeks and 600 miles, no recurrence. I think I turned off the ignition while the NAV was doing a calculation, possibly that had something to do with it. Since then I've gone to home page before shutting down.

Can anybody tell me why I get OOPS in my signature? Thought I did everything I had to do to register.

a word unacceptable to the computer monitoring this board.

I think [Oops!] is one such word.

Well, gosh, who'd a thought my name would be an unacceptable word. Maybe it can forget who I am. Thanks for the explanation.

the Oops after your name. None of the parts of your name trigger the Oops.

It will be difficult to type an inoffensive substitute using characters that do not awaken the sleeping automaton who censors such things. Care to give it a try?
