I recently bought a 86' 190e 16v and I am having trouble losing fuel pressure when go up long steep hills. when I get to the top and come down the other side or get on to level ground , the car runs fine. The only thing I have tried so far is installing a new fuel filter. Any help you can give in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

when you replaced the filter - did you blow into
the INLET end and let the OUTLED end empty into a glass jar ?

that would have told you the amount of contamination
and the next course to take.

I assume your experiencing a clodded or dislodged
strainer inside the fuel tank
