has anybody put 7.5x17 wheels with 225/45x17 tires on a stock chassied e36???? does it fit with NO problems ??? the BMW wheel book says that a M chas. is needed ??? can anyone shead some light to this ???????help????? like to get these new wheels but don't need them rubbing , binding , etc......THANKS.........JOE

I just put M Contour wheels on my 1998 328i about two weeks ago. They are the 17 x 7.5 (all around) with the 225/45/17 P7000 Pirelli's. THERE IS NOT PROBLEM! My car has the Premium Pkge (No sport suspension).<p>I contacted BMW to make sure this would be ok, and they told me not a problem....

I put the 97 M3 setup on my 96 328is without any problems at all!!! This includes the 245's on 8.5" rims in the rear!
