I have a minor problem with my '87 325e. The seat belt receptacle doesn't seem to hold the beat anymore. The red button does not pop up when the belt is out, so it seems to have a problem with the spring loaded mechanism.
Has anyone taken the receptacle apart? I don't see any screws holding it. Does it need to pried open?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Last month my seatbelt recepticle completely shattered open (dont ask how) and all thats holding the casing together is approx 3-4 plasctic pegs (which all broke). Your best bet would be just going down to your local salvage yard and replacing the receiver...cost me $10.
Good Luck,
Tony
