Unexpectedly, I was turning the ignition key in my 89 325i and it stopped at the accessory position. I was able to pull the switch off the cylinder and start the car with a screwdriver, but now I have to replace the cylinder. This sounds like a messy process, what with getting out shear bolts and the like.<br>Has anyone ever had this happen? Does it cost much for a new lock cylinder or to have the thing fixed by a dealer?
