I'm sure this is old hat, but it's new to me -
where is the resistor board that controls the heater fan switch? my heater fan only works on high (4) -\
also where is the best place to buy it and how do I install it?

It's a big pain in the *ss. Buy one at the dealer ($20 or so if I remember correctly). You'll have to take off the blower motor cover from inside the engine compartment.
Get a Bentley manual. It describes the procedure (and most others) pretty accurately.
-Drew Zacharda
'89 325iX
