I have an 88 325e that idles at about 1500 rpm in neutral, 1000 rpm in drive. There is a crack in the air intake duct that runs from the air filter box to the throttle body. Is this a likely source of the problem?

Is this a likely source of the problem?<p></i>Replace it, but you could have other dry rotted components as well, that could be causing vacuum leaks.
