Is is because it is an AWD system or may it be a suspension problem. I would have thought it would have a nice soft ride but it's harsh. I feel and hear every bump. My 95 M3 soaks them up ten times better. I know it's not an equal comparison but I would think the ride would be better.

A properly-functioning stock 325iX suspension should not feel harsh even to the most sensitive of posteriors. Perhaps someone installed aftermarket stuff on your car. Maybe the struts are frozen . . . maybe the bushings are shot. What do you mean by "harsh"?
-Drew Zacharda
'90 535i 5-speed
'89 325iX bone-stock & un-harsh
: Is is because it is an AWD system or may it be a suspension problem. Hi Drew,
It's hard to explain but it's like driving with low-profile tires and hitting a pothole. You here that thumping from the impact. I should probaly get the suspension checked out. Did the 325ix have any particular and common problems with the suspension set-up when it first came out? Thanks.
: A properly-functioning stock 325iX suspension should not feel harsh even to the most sensitive of posteriors. Perhaps someone installed aftermarket stuff on your car.
