Help, my '91 318is (125K) has just developed a "miss" that is driving me nuts. It seems to just lose power to one or two cylinders for a second or two then usually comes back and runs smoothly. However, especially when cold, it has begun missing badly and has no power. Then all of a sudden it seems OK for awhile. We have checked; plugs, wires, vacuum leaks, ground, and anything electrical we can see. So far all seem OK. If you have any ideas on how to fix this, it would be appreciated!

have you had the air flow meter, o2 oxygen sensor, idle control unit, and the idle control valve checked out, these were my main problems and after replacing them (new)car runs like a champ, no missing or sputtering, and all for about $625.00
