My clutch recently began making a slight noise when the pedal is being depressed through the first part (free play area)then the noise goes away as I mash it down further. The noise is sort of a "light squeal". My questions are: 1)could this be caused by a need for fresh fluid in the resevoir? - I've been waiting until I could replace my break system. 2)When you replace the clutch parts (disk and release bearing) can the pressure plate be reused or is it usually in need of replacement also? 3)Has anyone tried using the lighter flywheel from a 318I- I hear it mounts right up, does anyone know which one M42 or ??
