O.K.. Here's the deal..
I'm considering selling my Cabrio, buying a beater and saving the money to get an E30 M3 by the end of the summer.
I think it will be better to sell it before the summer comes and the demand for convertibles is not really there. So far I've seen 3 Cabrio's for sale in the Base's resale lot this winter. ALL looked terrible, seats torn, bottlecaps, verry worn tops, no extra's and HIGH MILEAGE etc. Everytime I saw them I compared them to mine and they didn't hold a candle to mine. They all were gone within the week.
Mine has exactly 79020 miles with records. That seems more attractive than one with 100-140K's. Once mine rolls over to the 80's it's a different mind game.
Here are the specs.
1988, 79020 miles, Alpineweiss/Blue interior (No Rips). A/T (Chicks like the Automatic). DINAN Chip, 1 Year old TOP (No leaks) NEW Control Arms, ROTORS, BRAKES, WHEELBEARINGS, BELTS. Timing Belt replaced at 62K's. EIBACH Springs with Bilstein Sports. Plus an extra set of bottlecaps...
Should I do it?... IF so... How much should I ask? Checking Autotrader, the're going for around 7-9K with higher mileage and no extras..
Your Opinions are greatly appreciated
Thanks Guys...
rIChie

Dave is a big cabrio fan and knows a lot about them. I can't think of a better person to answer your questions. Cabrio people seem to be as much enthusiasts as us M3 folks. I'm sure whatever decision you make will be the right one.
Best of luck!
Brandon Wheaton
1989 E30 M3

O.K..
