<i
: How much did you pay, and where did you get them?
Hi Scott,
I live in Switzerland, where these lenses can be ordered as a standard option from BMW. They cost about 300 US$ including installation. Can't you order them from BMW in the U.S.?

Wow!!! You make me drooling... :-) The car looks really beautiful with clear lenses. My car is also Titanium Silver (328 + sport) and I'm going to order a set for myself pretty soon.
And I also notice that you don't have the model badge on the trunk lid. European options are way too cool. Here in the US they don't have option like that. Damn it, I'll have to remove it myself.
BTW, is your wheels the Radial styling 32? They look really good! The US 328 w/sport pack comes with Star Spoke 44, but I much prefer Radial 32.
Thanks for the pictures!!

The US cars that BMW puts clear turn signals on (like the ///M roadster) all ahve a seperate amber sidemarker/reflector in the bumper; the E46 does not. The law says you've got to have an amber sidemarker in front.
I seriously doubt you'll get ticketed for this in the USA; most police officers don't know the nuances of the law and they usually just target the idiots with the blue headlight bulbs and clear turn signal lenses WITH clear bulbs. As long as you've got turn signals that blink orange, you should be ok in the USA. But since the law says you've got to have orange sidemarkers, BMW can't exactly import a car with lighting equipment that is not legal.
Look at the ///M5. Current demo pictures show clear front turn signals and no orange sidemarkers under the turn siganls. I'll bet a Coke that the production USA ///M5 will have orange sidemarkers.

I soon realized that I wanted a "cleaner" look and took it off. Just warm it a little bit with a hairdryer and you're done in 5 minutes.
My wheels are just called radial styling, without a number. I didn't find any information about radial styling 32, but maybe it's just a different denomination.
Here, the normal wheel options for the 328i are cross spoke 42, star spoke 43 and star spoke 45. Fortunately, my dealer was willing to give me the radial styling wheels at no additional charge.
Now I'm just waiting to install that supercharger :-)
