Any one know what pins control the oil temp gauge on the M\5 cluster. I want to use in my 1990 535i and everything works except that. Of course there is no oil temp sender, but I wont buy that untill I learn how to wire it in. Richard

The instrument cluster needs to be re-coded by the dealer before the oil temp gauge (and the speedo and tach) will work properly. Even if you hook up an oil temp sensor to the proper pins, the instrument cluster is expecting an MPG reading and will interpret it improperly.
Cheers,
David

: Any one know what pins control the oil temp gauge on the M\5 cluster.
