BMW might join the new DTM2000 championship in 2001 with a 4 liter V8 E46-M3!<br>Opel (GM-company) and Mercedes will already start in y2k with their 4liter V8 Race cars (Calibra and CLK).

I would not be suprised to see it initially in a wagon either ... just like I had stated below in response to RS4 questions.

<i>: .<p></i>I will bet you that before the E46 M3 is replaced with a new model (in say 2007 or so) that we will see a V8 in it. I would even say that we will see one in the 2002-2004 time frame. Probably a 4.0L to comply with new DTM regs.

seeing you are just up the road in Austin and I am in Bryan. How about coming over for a driving school? They are having a BMW Club Race Nov 20-21 at teh track here.<p>BTW- I will take some Celis Raspberry.

I will find the web page for you;-) You pick anyone you want. I will go with your recommendation of Celis Raspberry. I guess this would have to be a long term bet since the E46 will probably be around a while and I dont see the V8 for a couple years yet.
