Listen I was just commenting on an earlier post that stated the M3 would turn heads everywhere it goes. And IMHO it wont, especially where I live. But this does not mean that the new M3 wont be an awesome car, and I dont judge a car by it looks alone. No doubt performance wise it will be a thrilling car. But I dont feel it will have the turn head appeal in the normal colors. My friend at school as a 2000 328ci with full aero-kit 18 inch wheels, spoiler, nav system, and let me tell you it looks better than new M3 I have seen at auto show, a lot better. But I cant wait to woop him on the highway either!
I know many of you love the sleeper look of the M3, and even though its more differentiated now, its still a 3 series. I wish BMW would give us colors that would make the car stand out in a decent way, like a Speed Yellow or even a white with the Motor Sport flag painted on. I know its not for everyone but I feel like BMW's are marketed towards women and older men now, and sadly the M3 is not immune to this. My eyes roll all the time when i see soooooo many M3's (especially the convertibles) in automatic. The shoudnt even be available in automatic because those people dont understand the nature of the car. I remember one night in New York I was sitting in my Brother's s2000 and a man walked up and asked if it came in automatic because his wife would love it. I felt like beating him with the owners manual. (And then I thought how god aweful slow the s2000 would be in an auto :)
Anyway if you live in New York you see ferraris, Bentleys, 911 turbos etc..on a daily basis. And lets face it the M3 is by no means a limited production car, which is really sad. Because if it was it would be more race tuned and for enthusiasts, not women. I know BMW needs to make money, but couldnt they offer a super luxury 330ci for those who want an exclusive and expensive 3 series, and make the M3 more race ready. And race ready is more than just straight line speed, not something that handles bumps like an s-class and accerlerates like a vette.
On a side note I read an article with the chairmen of BMW, and he said to wait and see what the future holds. That future cars such as the M3 and 7 series and 5 series will have drastic weight reduction. He stated that while much of their current research has gone into making engines, the future will be making the cars light as well. This will take place in the next 3 series and not the upcomming 7 but the one following that.
PS. Bruce can you add anything but pointing out my names. And alejandro does mean alex! I bet you are so middle aged Lo$er who cant stand that fact that I will cut you off with a suspended license @23

I do make my own enemies.
But your honor, in this case Mr. (not really a Mr. beacuse that title indicates some sort of class) Alex J Kooluris IS an idiot. Please take a look at Exhibit #1. Any more data you need search for "Upset Jin" on the Z3 board. I will keep you occupied for DAYS.
The prosecution rests.

show what you are all about. "GIVE ME A REAL SPOILER", you say. You mean a big phony wing of some sort? The car comes with a "real" spoiler - one that provides adequate downforce rather than silly race-car pretense. The fact is, your desires as to what an M3 should be are far from the norm. Understatement is a large, if recently somewhat diminished, part of what the car is all about.
Once you buy your M3, feel free to pour cheese all over it - but most of us think it comes with enough (more than enough?) plastic bull**** as it is. The people who's eyes you are looking to attract with a big wing and lots of body cladding are of no interest to most M3 buyers - they are the same people who think that the Pontiac Firebird is a hot looking sports car.

Listen I was just commenting on an earlier post that stated the M3 would turn heads everywhere it goes.
Did I strike a nerve hero? Really you save links to post that are over a year old and you take the time to repost them! Gee. Anyway Everything I said about the 1.9 liter z3 is true, everyone can read it and you can't disclaim any of my points. Ohh but you show your maturity by resulting to 2ng grade name calling...well buddy I can't compete with you there. Its so easy for you to hide behind this board and just run your mouth....unlike you I went to the Z3 gathering in PA and said to people what I thought of the 1.9 and they AGREED! Its so easy to sit there and throw stones. Why dont you post your picture bruce so we can see what you look like, I know you wont! So call me an idiot, call me whatever you want I dont care. You were insecure about your pathetic 1.9 liter Z3 and you are insecure when I say anything on this board. Again why dont you respond to my post instead of flaming personal attacks about things you know nothing about....except the fact that I could spend your whole life in a day...Cousin Brucey

You might want to run a spell and/or grammar check on your posts.
Or just slow down and take the time to correct your mistakes.
Not a flame, just a note to you.
I disagree with about 50 percent of what you post here ... but I still read and respect your posts. It just gets frustrating when I constantly have to mentally add/subtract letters or change "there" to "their" and so on. You put a lot of effort into your long rants, so why not just put a little effort into cleaning it all up?
Cheers.
Chris Gr÷os

people on this board (I'm 21) who have actually worked for and earned the cars that we drive. By bragging about your money and your age, it only makes you look like an idiot. The fact that you have a suspended license is even more proof of that.
Kevin
'00 M Coupe

I saw the picture, and he looks like early thirties, kind of chubby, little taste in clothing (but great taste in automobiles).
Chris Gr÷os
