M3 sedan

I talked briefly to a sales rep who insists that there won't be an M3 4-door. Personally, I think a 4-door would suit the personality of the M3 better, and an M3 Touring would be an even more practical answer. I think a 4-door M3 would be imminent but BMW hasn't committed to that, while the Touring is less certain (if the Audi RS4 and S4 Avant, and the Mercedes AMG C32 wagon sell, then BMW would probably have one). So any ideas whether when a 4-door would be available?
A Lotus M250 for a sports car + the M3 as the practical high performance car would be a great combo.
