I need some help. I have spent lots-o-money trying to solve this problem (88 E30-M3). Low rpm stumble from dead stop, seams to skip on one of the cylinders when pulling awat from light. When cold, engine starts and idle diminishes till the car quits (around 32 degrees F, I live in Montana, and it is winter-have block heater).
Cylinder compression is within normal specs for engine with 111K on it. Not and oil burner, Pro-Long & Synthetics. I replaced the ECU (motronic / used-71K). The ECU was from a 1989 E30-M3. Had Dinan Gen-4 chip(ran rich with this age), peplaced with stock chip, ran alright for awhile, running like crap at low end again. This car has new fuel injectors, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, manifold gaskets, air-leaks sealed, but still poor idle (cold) and low-end stumble. 88 airbox & 89 ECU incompatible? Can't figure it out? We had a German car specialist check it out, and said it was in good over all shape with good compression. Anyones help would be great.
Thank you, Rein D. Gillstrom

Check all the folds for cracks on the rubber bellows that connects the "intake air box"-"throttle body"-"manifold".
Steve
: I need some help.
