I dont' have the money to get the SO2s or the MXX so I need to choose between these two. I am looking for best all around as far as wet and dry traction. A lot of people here seem to like both, so which one?
Also I am running 17X8 all around, should I go with 235/40? or 225/45?

: I dont' have the money to get the SO2s or the MXX so I need to choose between these two. I am looking for best all around as far as wet and dry traction. A lot of people here seem to like both, so which one?

I put the new AVS Sport on all four wheels last week, and am very happy. The past 3 1/2 years I've used MXX3's. The AVS Sports are much, much quieter, better in the rain, and a heck of a lot cheaper -- $163/tire right now from The Tire Rack for the 235/40/17 size.
:
: Also I am running 17X8 all around, should I go with 235/40? or 225/45?

I've got the '95 17x7.5 wheels, and the 235/40/17 fit just fine. Ask the tire rack what they suggest for 8" width wheels.
- Rich
