I have a 95 ///M3 and my mechanic found some oil in the coolant. So we are initially diagnosing it as a wasted headgasket. The car, to my knowledge (in the 15k miles I have owned it) has never overheated. I replaced the water pump with the metal one when I first bought the car. Does anyone know what else could have caused it. Has anyone had this happen? Thanks guys!
Mark Radelow
95 ///M3

before you bought it...
I think ODB II cars have a fairly inaccurate flag to detect if there has been an overheating of the car....dunno if ODB I has something similiar.
Peter Hsu
