I have pix of the trunk, air pump, interior, guages, wheels, place where fog light should be, front, rear, side.
They are really pretty, sound even better. The blue has an electric feel to it - it even shimmers in the shade - cooooooool!
Blue is already gone - total time at dealership from unload transport to customer drive out less than 6 hours. Imola Red will leave tomorrow, sorry.
: get to drive right by that dealership! (i hope they are still there)

Basicly give me my car with the M Power engine and I would be happy.
Bjs
98 2.8, Atlanta Blue, Tan*2,17", Premuim Pkg, Heated Seats, Alloy, HK, Frount Mud Flaps(QP), Trunk Organizer(QP).
I really don't like that cap. The sales manager said that the show car has the airbag key switch there. In looking at the photos in the brouchure it looks like there is a guage in that position (actually, it looks like an ambient temperature guage -20 to +40 deg. C) :-)
Why they are putting the cap there is a mystery to all, unless they plan to retrofit something in it.

: Anyone know why there is just that ugly cap? The blank is for the airbag switch. BMW printed two whole pages in the M supplement manual (you get a standard Z3 owners manual with an M supplement) on the airbag switch.
However, the manual-printing guys were a little ahead of the legal guys. BMW still has not tidied up their legal position on the airbag defeat. So, they are not letting dealers order the switch. All of the wiring is there, and the switch will go where the blank is. It will require the master key to operate.
Rumor has it that a voltmeter will be available for those not interested in the airbag switch.
:
: I really don't like that cap. Do I see correctly (in the linked pictures) that the blue has a blank and the red has a thermometer in the location where the air bag switch supposedly will go (center console, center gauge)?
Now I am really confused.

: For those that are interested, a selection of the pictures I took this afternoon are posted on the page linked below. Nick, Sorry for the confusion but with all the trouble I have gotten myself into with broken links on this thread, i've managed to get the flow totally messed up. The picture with the guage in the red dash is a picture that was added to clear up a question later down the thread (quite a bit further down now) and is actually a scan of the M Brouchure showing that there was a guage on the prototype that has now mysteriously turned into a blank. You caught me before I have had a chance to put a note beside the picture with the guage to explain it. Here's to hoping that I can get this a bit smoother for everyone next time.
: Do I see correctly (in the linked pictures) that the blue has a blank and the red has a thermometer in the location where the air bag switch supposedly will go (center console, center gauge)?
: Now I am really confused.

: : For those that are interested, a selection of the pictures I took this afternoon are posted on the page linked below.
