99 silver mcoupe

I have a 99 silver m coupe, the only modifications I have done are a Dinan cold air filter, and the Dinan chip, both authorized by BMW. I brought the car to the Long Island drag strip. The car ran a 13.454 @ 100.5. Pretty impressive huh?

: (snippage) The car ran a 13.454 @ 100.5. Pretty impressive huh?
Gee ... That IS impressive! Do the Dinan mods void your warranty in any way?
What was your best 60-foot time?
Would be neat to put some 275/40x17 BFGoodrich "Drag Radials" on (or even some slicks) and see if you could run a "13-oh". The additional hook at the start may start exhibiting the "weak-links" of the coupe's drivetrain; trans, rear-end and axles ... especially.
Take care. Keep us posted!
BTW ... I currently have a "00" silver w/black "M coupe" on order. (A dream come true!)

They are working on getting California certification.

: i have done a 12.8 at Pomona Raceway...in a turbo active autowerke stage 1 on a 93 325is...so im sure your M coupe can do alot better on better tires...good luck guys...
: How much boost you running? Intercooled? What tires did you use? Open exhaust? What was YOUR 60-foot time? Stock gears?
Thanks!

im currently running about 7psi of boost..but it does have an occasional boost spike of about 2 psi on cold days... and its on a stock intercooler...supplied by Active Autowerke. And running on a bigger downpipe and a straightpipe..(not recommended if you're scared of detonation or boost spike) the 60ft time was 1.7 on a set of DOT tires BFGs<---have broken so many axles cause of that tire...better to purchase crinkle wall slicks. And the rear end has been changed to a 3.46.

: Best 60 foot time was 1.930, but the avg. was arounf 2.0-2.2.

those times were done on street tires right? if it was..then its not to bad...cause average 60ft time is usually 1.8 and up on street tires...keep up the great work
