99 2.8 Coupe, 289.00 a month, 30 month lease, 2,500 cap cost reduction, 300 dollar refundable security deposit, 480 dollar acquisition fee, .20 cents per mile over 10,000 miles/year and a 350 dollar disposition fee. Monthly payments total 8,670. Option to purchase at end of lease for 26,107. Includes all scheduled maintenance.
Seems like they are basing this lease on full MSRP 36,200 plus a few options? The 10,000 miles a year isn't really that bad, i average about 11,000 right now. This offer appeared in the paper this weekend.

This offer appeared in the paper this weekend.

How much down total (taxes, down payment, sec. deposit, dealer prep, etc.)??? Also, it is likely that this lease is based on a no-options car. Most ads in my local newspaper are based on cars with zero options. This way, they can print an attractive lease rate which will get you into the showroom. There was a great lease rate in the local paper for a 323i, $379 a month, $1,400 down. But, if you include options and taxes, that lease rate inflates to over $400 a month and $3,000 down.
Don't despair. If you have an idea of what you want to spend each month, and put down as a down payment, you'll reach your goal. MY ADVICE: go to the dealer and check out this car. The Coupes are probably a bit cheaper than Roadsters. Where you live depends on you lease rate--I live in the Chicagoland area, and a sub- $300 lease rate for a BMW is almost unheard of, unless of course you put lik $5,000 down. I would expect a lease rate of about $399 in my area for a Coupe. A nicley optioned Roadster was goint for about $430 a month, $2,500 down I believe.
J.D.
