Do I have to clay the car each time I want to wax it?? Claying took a long time and hard work. :)

Claying is great to assure a nice smooth surface free of contaminants with which to start, but there is no need to do it every time. Hell--I'm lazy--never clay my car. :-) Depending on how dirty your car gets, I think that claying it once or twice a year and waxing it every month to two months is definitely sufficient to keep it looking beautiful.<br>

if well maintained you shouldn't need to use a clay bar but it does get off deeply embedded conaminants such as bird presents, tree sap, severely oxidized paint. once its been done, you should not need to do it again for a long time if at all. keep a good coating of wax on every month or few and more importantly wash off any dirt, bird goodies as soon as they appear with light pressure water and rubbing. I use filtered water from my house (fill up a 5gal pail) since it has a lot of chlorine and salts etc. to prevent water spots. You never want to over scrub the paint or else you will wear thru it fast.

i take it from your name that your female, i'm impressed, haven't heard of any females that would actually do all of that for their car on their own time.

thanks for the compliment. All the cars I have owned, were treated like babies, even the ones that were bought used. BTW, yes I am female :)
