Heck we answer before they even ask.

Main issue on any Turbo or Charger is the build up of carbon.

It gets hot and glows causing the preignition of the fuel charge.

Bad flame propogation is a ping.

I have a couple of ideas and first issue is to clean the carbon out of the combustion chamber. Take the engine to 1200 rpm should still be negative on vacuum. Place a vacuum line in an 8 oz glass of water. Make sure it is after the turbo.

Hey now, thats in the Toyota book of best practises on Turbos.

You will get steam out of the tail pipe and the cleanest those pistons and valves have ever been. We have used this on some hypo and aviation engines for years. No harm but cleans up the biggest cause of detonation, glowing carbon deposits.

Ok Ok you lovers of the pumpers, tell what you think.

See you in the forums,
