Most everybody knows that a high alkaline soap detergent will remove wax (carnauba, etc.), but itís very difficult to remove the new chemically synthesized polishes such as Zaino and Klasse Ö and you must remove the paint protecting materials if youíre going to do touch-up painting on scratches or chips Ö or even apply (god forbid) a decal or sticker on your bimmer.

Called Sal Zaino this morning and he said that isopropyl alcohol will remove any of the new polishes and prepare the surface for painting.
