I've tried everything from steel wools to 3M rubbing compound with a buffer they are still there on the rear window. They are not as visible as before they I can still see them. I'm all ears to your suggestions. Thanks

Although I would think that what you have tried should have worked. If vinegar doesn't work, go to the autopia.com link and search their database.

I have used cleaner types of waxes like Meguire's Cleaner wax or Meguire's Body scrub might work. Give cleaner wax or mild abrasive wax a try.

Try barkeeps (barkeepers?) friend.
It's a powder used to clean drinking glasses.
