I'm certain this has been covered before, but I am new to the forum.

Just got my 2002 325Ci sans the HK upgrade, and I was looking to do some stereo mods myself at some point. Can anyone tell me the speaker sizes for the factory speakers and what replacements are recommended/have worked well for others?

Is a Line converter neccessary to supply an outboard amp with a signal?

What kind of Subwooker can be added without a major sub enclosure? Can anything be mounted where the HK subs would have gone?

Is there a factory amp to be bypassed?

Is there any hope for a seamless upgrade, or am I fooling myself into thinking the signal output from the factory head unit is worth boosting in the first place?

Thanks for any help/info you can offer.

A line converter is needed if you want to keep your current head unit.

I have heard that a/d/s has amps that will take in balanced inputs (which is what the stock head unit uses) but those are big $$.
