The temp fix is to wipe it down with wd-40. There is no shine, but it obscures the haze.

The perm fix is to re-polish it jewelers rouge and polishing wheels / clothes. You can get several different grades of rouge at Home Depot near the Dremel section.

There are also adverts. in the Roundel offering varios fixes..
