I have a 97' 740il. I have the premium stereo with DSP processing. When use the CD, radio, tape deck, or weather band, there is no sound. As I increase the volume, hear white noise at top volume. Anyone had this problem. Do you think the amplifier is blown? How much to fix? Any aftermarket suggestions on amps?

Where are the fuses for the amplifier?

Dealer ended up replacing DSP amplifier. Cost for parts and labor $650.00. The Amplifier was not covered under CPO. Also, Dealer replaced the alarm siren under CPO free of charge. What typically causes an amplifier to blow? Was it just old (97' 740il with 82K mileage)? Dealer says that it rarely happens. I don't play music very loud.
