I'm putting in a good sound system (Eclipse head unit, JL speakers, 75x4 JL amp, sub and amp), and was wondering if I should change over the OEM speaker wire or just use that speaker wire. Tweeter is going to do the job, but they're saying it will cost like 50 bucks per pair to run the new wire. should I do it?

Most people believe the factory wiring is fine for everything except very high powered subs.<br>Keith

thanks, sktn. how about wiring for the fronts/backs? I will be running rca's to the sub, then bigger wire to the sub, so that's no problem. however, for the components, I'll have RCAs from the head unit to the amp, then should I use factory wires from the amp to the speakers? Do they come right out of the factory amp in the trunk?

Looks like you have a 330 with the HK sound system. I'd use the factory wiring for the non-sub components (leave the "mid" disconnected) but check the following sites for cautions:

Good luck!

Thanks, Keith. Probably saving me $100 bucks.

STKN - I WILL BE HAVING THE AUDIO/VIDEO STORE TWEETER, ETC. PERFORM THE INSTALLATION. WOULD THEY NEED ACCESS TO THE LINKS YOU REFER TO? SINCE IT'S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SETUP, IS IT NEEDED?
