Anyone ever heard of a supercharged M30 in an E9?
Any information would be great.

Kindest Regards,

I'm eventually going to attempt to rig up an Eaton M90 positive displacement supercharger off a Ford T-Bird SC onto the m30 in my '85 535i. A centrifugal blower would probably be much easier (much smaller, don't have to relocate throttle body), but they are also considerably more expensive. It shouldn't be too hard to rig up a low boost setup (5-7psi) with stock electronics and a boost-sensitive FMU, but you might need custom engine management to run higher boost.

Not sure what would be necessary for it to work on a carburated car, though.
