However, I think it would be even cooler if you put that motor in an older, lighter 5 series. Being an e28 owner, I'm a bit biased. But imagine that thing in an e12! I'm about to start the process of trying to fit an Eaton M90 positive displacement supercharger on my 535i.

I am trying to figure out a way to ghetto rig the Eaton M90 off a T-Bird SC onto my m30 as a temporary solution for more power, until I have adequate funding to properly build up a turbo motor. I'm thinking around $5k for all parts and machining costs to build up a realiable 350+hp turbo M30/M102 motor. I got the blower off ebay for $350, and if I can find a place to put it, I'd like to run it with 6-7 psi using stock electronics, larger injectors, and an FMU. Only problems are the blower is rather large, and I'd have to somehow mount the throttle body upstream of the blower. A centrifugal blower would be much easier to use, due to size and not having to relocate the TB, but they're also much more expensive.

I have a History of BMW book at home and this is the engine that really starts me dreaming of future project. Yes, I'm also jelous..., and have been trying to figure out what PatP does for a living. Let me count, turbo 325i, M635 Euro with nitrous, Big Red e34 turbo..., that makes four and the B10 transplant makes five. Have I left anything out ? I'm sure PatP will give us the full list.

So what's your secret, Amway distributor?, male escourte, or just hard working like the rest of us.

Personaly I love seeing this level of enthusiasim. My next engine for sure will be a turbo. Will stick it in my e28 M5..... right behind you Raj !

Also tell us where you found this beauty and at what cost. Europe by chance ?? The Alpina B10 is a 180 mph car by the way. Very impressive. I too would put this in an e34 and not an e28 so to capitalize on the aerodynamics of the newer body style.
