never had it before, all the rubber on top is fine, no leaks. went to the harness that attatches to AFM and wiggled it. Idle smooths out. I am loath to remove the harness/plug to the AFM, looks like it has a retainer wire-how best to remove it with out breaking?

Its just a retainer clip. Wiggle it back and forth a little. Clean the contacts with contact cleaner. My old car had green corrosion on the copper contacts at that location that affected the idle.
