Would love to hear of any comments concerning dealers that are taking deposits for the Elise. Which ones are best to deal with? Which are putting it down in writing that the cars will be sold at MSRP, etc.

The deposit was $2500 and they did put it writing the car would sell for no more than MSRP. I was number 9 on the list, but about 2 months ago cancelled. It took a few phone calls, but they did fully refund the deposit.

RoyL

My deposite - $500 - is with Chriswell - Gaithersburg MD.
I have a letter detailing my list position and that the car will be sold at MSRP.

I was the one who informed Palm Beach Motor cars that they were getting the Elise. I was first on the list.. MSRP in writing.

Lotus Silver Star of Thousand Oaks. 1k deposit and MSRP in writing. I am 3 on the list (that was 5 months ago, about a month after the LA auto show.)

On the whole, pretty easy to deal with, but seem to be clueless as to whats going on now (as are many people)
