The coolant warning light was on and flashing when I started my car in the morning. Then went off before I got to work. (about 8 milles) The temperture seems fine and the coolant level seems fine. Has anybody else had this problem?

Watch the coolant carefully.......I had an overheating problem with my 1997 2.5 Boxster and instead of popping a cap or valve somewhere the expansion tank exploded !!

This ripped off (yes really) the boot lid and cost about 4,000 to fix. If I'd stood closer to the car when it went bang it would have taken my face off...!!

Porsche tell me this is perfectly normal for an overheating Boxster and to pay up and shut up.....I'm not so impressed with my toy anymore.
