Just curious, My M3's orange light for 7500rpm never shuts off. So I basically have one orange light at 7500 rpm, then the red light for 8000 rpm. This is normal right? Does everyone else have this as well?

thanks in advance,

tiggs

p.s. where is the shift point? At 8000rpm or a little over 8000rpm?

You will always have one orange light and two red lights.

Peak power is at 7900 rpms, however I always like to take it to 8000 rpms or a smidge over if I can. This will yield you higher revs in the next gear and therefore higher up the power band.

I think this is your best option.

shift point depends on the torque curve...and i haven't seen a
torque curve of the new M3 yet
